The Development Of Makyong Acting Training Method For Environment Of Traditional Theater Courses

This study aims to develop a Makyong acting training method based on the Malay tradition for enrichment in North Sumatra Traditional Theater course at UNIMED Performing Arts Study Program. In particular, this to: (1) be able interpret advice as spiritual values; (2) identifying dance techniques prepare body movements; (3) Identifying pantun improvisational power of makyong actors. was designed with research and development approach. followed up by developing methods applying performances. analyzing data author uses qualitative analysis techniques. As reference preparing model, folklore approach, actor dramaturgical theory from Eugenio Barba Asrul Sani's postcolonial approach methods.
